The Academy of American Studies Eagles held off the visiting Aviation Flyers soccer team by a tally of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league game.
Next, the Eagles clash with the Newtown Pioneers (Elmhurst, NY) in a non-league game, on Thursday, October 16. Academy of American Studies will attempt to advance on its 5-2 season record. The Pioneers come into the game with a 4-3 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Queens Complex (Queens, NY).
With the loss, Aviation moves to 5-1 on the year.
