Calvert Cavaliers (Prince Frederick, MD) backers exited the stadium pleased Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer squad triumph over the visiting Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD), 6-1 in a league bout.
The Cavaliers now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they host La Plata for a Class 2A South II bout on Thursday, October 16. Calvert will play a Warriors squad coming off a 4-1 league win over Westlake (Waldorf, MD). The Warriors record now stands at 2-8.
The Panthers (3-5) will now prepare for their contest against Northern (Owings, MD). The Patriots enter the Southern Maryland contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Northern held off La Plata (La Plata, MD), 2-1, in a league contest.
