South Dakota High School Volleyball - Alcester-Hudson tips Irene/Wakonda

October 14, 2025: Alcester, SD 57001

In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Alcester-Hudson Cubs volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Irene/Wakonda Eagles.

The Cubs (6-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Beresford (Beresford, SD). The Watchdogs enter the non-league challenge with a 10-13 record. In their last test, Beresford was edged by Sioux Falls Lutheran (Sioux Falls, SD), 3-1, in a non-league test.

The Eagles now own a 6-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marty Indian for a non-league test on Thursday, October 16. Irene/Wakonda will face a Braves squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Omaha Nation (Macy, NE). The Braves record now stands at 2-18.
