Altavista Colonels (Altavista, VA) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA), 3-1 in a league test.

With the win, Altavista improves its record to 2-10 on the season. The Colonels travel to Gretna (Gretna, VA) to face the Hawks in a Dogwood test on Thursday, October 16. The Hawks go into the test with a record of 14-3. Gretna won 3-0 in their recent league test against Dan River (Ringgold, VA)

The Governors now own a 2-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Appomattox County for a Dogwood test on Thursday, October 16. Nelson County will face a Raiders squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy (Moneta, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 17-1.
