Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Carrollton Cavaliers (Carrollton, MI) and the host Tawas Area Braves (Tawas City, MI), observed Carrollton's volleyball team top Tawas Area by a count of 3-1.
The Cavaliers (25-1) will now prepare for their battle against Caro (Caro, MI). The Tigers go into the non-league battle with a 1-14 record.
The Braves now own a 7-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hale for a North Star battle on Thursday, October 16. Tawas Area will meet a Eagles team coming off a 3-2 league loss to Oscoda (Oscoda, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 10-7.
