Dearborn Pioneers (Dearborn, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball team hold off the host Wayne Memorial Zebras (Wayne, MI), 3-2 in a league challenge.

The Pioneers (5-19) will now prepare for their challenge against Ypsilanti (Ypsilanti, MI). The Grizzlies enter the non-league challenge with a 4-11 record.

Next, the Zebras meet the North Farmington Raiders (Farmington Hills, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 16. Wayne Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Raiders enter the challenge with a 10-16 record after their 3-0 league loss to Oxford (Oxford, MI).
