Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Magruder Colonels (Rockville, MD) and the host Northwood Gladiators (Silver Spring, MD), observed Magruder's volleyball team top Northwood by a count of 3-1.

The Colonels (9-2) will now prepare for their battle against Rockville (Rockville, MD). The Rams enter the Montgomery County 2A/3A test with a 7-4 record. In their last test, Rockville was defeated by Damascus (Damascus, MD), 3-1, in a league test.

The Gladiators now own a 0-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Seneca Valley for a non-league test on Thursday, October 16. Northwood will encounter a Screamin' Eagles squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Wheaton (Silver Spring, MD). The Screamin' Eagles record now stands at 4-8.
