The Alamosa Mean Moose football squad scored 39 points and restricted the host Montezuma-Cortez Panthers to 24 in the Mean Moose league victory on Friday.

The Mean Moose now possess a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Salida for a 2A Southwest battle on Friday, October 22. Alamosa will face a Spartans squad coming off a 36-28 league loss to Pagosa Springs (Pagosa Springs, CO). The Spartans record now stands at 0-7.

Coming up next, the Panthers face the Bayfield Wolverines (Bayfield, CO) in a 2A Southwest battle, on Friday, October 22. Montezuma-Cortez will attempt to advance on its 3-4 season record. The Wolverines enter the battle with a 5-1 record after their 31-13 non-league win over La Junta (La Junta, CO).
