Melrose Red Raiders (Melrose, MA) fans were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Wayland Warriors (Wayland, MA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Red Raiders confront the Newton South Lions (Newton, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 28. Melrose will attempt to better on its 9-1 season record.
The Warriors now have a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shrewsbury for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, October 18. Wayland will confront a Colonials team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Framingham (Framingham, MA). The Colonials record now stands at 7-1.
