The Comets go into the bout with a record of 23-6. Newman Central Catholic lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Durand (Durand, IL)

The Cyclones now own a 15-15 record. They play next when they travel to Morrison for a non-league bout on Saturday, October 15. West Prairie will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Rockridge (Taylor Ridge, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-21.
