The New Lothrop Hornets volleyball team (New Lothrop, MI), was nudged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the visiting Milford Mavericks (Highland, MI)

The Mavericks (18-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Bedford (Temperance, MI). The Kicking Mules enter the non-league challenge with a 32-7 record. In their last challenge, Bedford nipped Pioneer (Ann Arbor, MI), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Hornets meet the Lakeville Falcons (Otisville, MI) in a Mid-Michigan Athletic challenge, on Sunday, October 16. New Lothrop will attempt to move on its 4-7 season record. The Falcons enter the challenge with a 3-3 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Corunna (Corunna, MI).
