In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Alexander Cougars flag football squad scored a close 19-13 triumph over the Newnan Cougars.
The Cougars (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Central (Carrollton, GA). The Lions come into the D4 Area 2 match with a 3-1 record. In their last match, Central was nudged by Harris County (Hamilton, GA), 24-0, in a non-league match.
