The Salem Wildcats soccer squad scored 7 points and held the visiting Mattoon Greenwave to 2 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Wildcats now possess a 17-2 record.
With the loss, Mattoon moves to 10-11 on the year. The Greenwave host Charleston (Charleston, IL) to play the Trojans in a Apollo bout on Thursday, October 17. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 5-12. Charleston lost 6-1 in their recent league bout against Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL)
