The Newman Catholic Knights volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Eagle Grove Eagles to 1 in the Knights non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Knights now have a 9-9 record. They play next when they host Belmond-Klemme for a non-league outing on Thursday, October 17. Newman Catholic will play a Broncos team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to West Fork (Sheffield, IA). The Broncos record now stands at 18-8.
With the loss, Eagle Grove drops to 3-14 on the campaign. The Eagles host Cherokee Washington (Cherokee, IA) to play the Braves in a non-league outing on Tuesday, October 22. The Braves come into the outing with a record of 17-2.
