Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Staunton Bulldogs (Staunton, IL) and the visiting Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL), observed Staunton's volleyball team top Gillespie by a count of 2-0.

The Bulldogs (20-6) will now prepare for their contest against Greenville (Greenville, IL). The Comets enter the South Central contest with a 7-20 record. In their last contest, Greenville was knocked off by Hillsboro (Hillsboro, IL), 2-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Miners battle the Vandalia Vandals (Vandalia, IL) in a South Central contest, on Thursday, October 17. Gillespie will attempt to move on its 7-20 season record. The Vandals enter the contest with a 5-22 record after their 2-1 league loss to Southwestern (Piasa, IL).
