Frederick Gunn Highlanders (Washington, CT) boosters exited the stadium pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Kingswood Oxford Wyverns (West Hartford, CT), 6-3 in a non-league outing.

The Highlanders (4-4) will now prepare for their outing against Pomfret School (Pomfret, CT). The Griffins go into the non-league outing with a 4-8 record. In their last outing, Pomfret School by Berkshire School (Sheffield, MA), 7-0, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Wyverns play the Marianapolis Prep Golden Knights (Thompson, CT) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, October 18. Kingswood Oxford will attempt to improve on its 1-10 season record. The Golden Knights go into the test with a 4-7 record after their 5-1 non-league loss to Cushing Academy (Ashburnham, MA).
