North Carolina High School Soccer - North Mecklenburg nudges Surry Central

In Wednesday's non-league outing, the host North Mecklenburg Vikings soccer squad scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Surry Central Golden Eagles.
The Vikings (12-5) will now prepare for their outing against Butler (Matthews, NC). The Bulldogs go into the Meck Power Six 7A/8A test with a 3-11 record. In their last test, Butler was tipped by Garinger (Charlotte, NC), 9-0, in a non-league test.
The Golden Eagles now have a 9-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mount Airy for a Northwest 3A/4A outing on Friday, October 17. Surry Central will play a Granite Bears squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC). The Granite Bears record now stands at 13-4.
