The Ponaganset Chieftains football team (North Scituate, RI), was beaten 22-0 in Monday's non-league challenge with the visiting Narragansett Mariners (Narragansett, RI)
The Mariners (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Rogers (Newport, RI). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 2-2 record. In their last challenge, Rogers achieved victory over Pilgrim (Warwick, RI), 44-0, in a league challenge.
The Chieftains now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mt. Hope for a non-league challenge on Monday, October 23. Ponaganset will meet a Huskies team coming off a 14-8 non-league win over St. Raphael Academy (Pawtucket, RI). The Huskies record now stands at 4-0.
