Miller County Pirates (Colquitt, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Portal Panthers (Portal, GA), 6-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 22-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wheeler County for a non-league challenge on Monday, October 16. Miller County will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 8-0 non-league win over Portal (Portal, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-11.

With the loss, Portal falls to 4-19 on the campaign.
