The Simley Spartans volleyball team (Inver Grove Heights, MN), was nudged 3-2 in Monday's non-league challenge with the host Visitation Blazers (Mendota Heights, MN)

The Blazers (14-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Rockwood Summit (Fenton, MO). The Falcons enter the Class 4 District 2 challenge with a 21-12 record. In their last challenge, Rockwood Summit nipped Lindbergh (St. Louis, MO), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans encounter the North Polars (North St. Paul, MN) in a Metro East challenge, on Tuesday, October 17. Simley will attempt to move on its 9-9 season record. The Polars enter the challenge with a 1-18 record after their 3-1 league loss to Hill-Murray (Maplewood, MN).
