In Wednesday's league outing, the visiting Cumberland Clippers soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Barrington Eagles.

The Clippers (10-2) will now prepare for their outing against East Providence (East Providence, RI). The Townies go into the Division 1 outing with a 2-12 record. In their last outing, East Providence was edged by La Salle Academy (Providence, RI), 4-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Eagles play the South Kingstown Rebels (Wakefield, RI) in a Division 1 outing, on Friday, October 18. Barrington will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Rebels go into the outing with a 6-5 record after their 3-0 league win over Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI).
