The Norfolk Panthers softball squad (Norfolk, NE), was routed 13-4 in Wednesday's non-league contest with the visiting Gretna Dragons (Gretna, NE)

With the triumph, Gretna improves its record to 36-0 on the year. The Dragons travel to Papillion-LaVista (Papillion, NE) to face the Monarchs in a non-league contest on Wednesday, October 16. The Monarchs enter the contest with a record of 25-9. Papillion-LaVista won 9-2 in their recent non-league contest against Kearney (Kearney, NE)

The Panthers now hold a 26-14 record. They play next when they travel to Millard West for a non-league contest on Thursday, October 17. Norfolk will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 12-1 non-league win over Lincoln North Star (Lincoln, NE). The Wildcats record now stands at 23-9.
