In Wednesday's non-league match, the Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA) volleyball squad prevailed the visiting Merion Mercy Academy Golden Bears (Merion Station, PA), by a count of 3-0.

Next up, the Fightin' Tigers battle the Bayard Rustin Golden Knights (West Chester, PA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, October 17. Marple Newtown will attempt to move on its 10-9 season record. The Golden Knights enter the match with a 8-9 record after their 3-0 league win over Great Valley (Malvern, PA).

The Golden Bears (3-6) will now prepare for their match against Strath Haven (Wallingford, PA). The Panthers enter the non-league match with a 15-4 record. In their last match, Strath Haven notched a victory over Marple Newtown (Newtown Square, PA), 3-0, in a league match.
