Martins Ferry Purple Riders (Martins Ferry, OH) boosters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the host Tuscarawas Valley Trojans (Zoarville, OH), 3-2 in a non-league test.

With the win, Martins Ferry improves its record to 17-6 on the season. The Purple Riders travel to Coshocton (Coshocton, OH) to face the Redskins in a non-league test on Monday, October 21. The Redskins go into the test with a record of 16-7. Coshocton won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Claymont (Uhrichsville, OH)

The Trojans now own a 17-6 record.
