Colorado High School Football - Salida holds off Bayfield

The Salida Spartans (Salida, CO) football tipped the host Bayfield Wolverines (Bayfield, CO), 10-9 in Thursday's league outing.

The Spartans now sport a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Alamosa for a 2A Intermountain game on Friday, October 24. Salida will battle a Mean Moose team coming off a 40-0 league win over Montezuma-Cortez (Cortez, CO). The Mean Moose record now stands at 5-2.

The Wolverines (3-4) will now prepare for their game against Gunnison (Gunnison, CO). The Cowboys enter the 2A Intermountain game with a 0-7 record. In their last outing, Gunnison was nipped by Pagosa Springs (Pagosa Springs, CO), 49-14, in a league outing.
