Bacon Academy Bobcats (Colchester, CT) boosters exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Portland Highlanders (Portland, CT), 5-0 in a non-league outing.

The Bobcats (15-0) will now prepare for their outing against Ledyard (Ledyard, CT). The Colonels go into the non-league outing with a 4-2 record. In their last outing, Ledyard was overwhelmed by Griswold (Griswold, CT), 1-0, in a league outing.

Next up, the Highlanders confront the North Branford Thunderbirds (North Branford, CT) in a Shoreline outing, on Monday, October 20. Portland will attempt to improve on its 7-3 season record. The Thunderbirds go into the outing with a 4-12 record after their 3-1 league loss to Westbrook (Westbrook, CT).
