Sumner Spartans (Sumner, WA) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they observed their soccer squad triumph over the host Spanaway Lake Sentinels (Spanaway, WA), 8-0 in a league outing.

The Spartans (9-1) will now prepare for their outing against Rogers (Puyallup, WA). The Rams go into the 4A South Puget Sound outing with a 7-4 record. In their last outing, Rogers prevailed over Bonney Lake (Bonney Lake, WA), 4-2, in a non-league outing.

Next up, the Sentinels confront the South Kitsap Wolves (Port Orchard, WA) in a 4A South Puget Sound outing, on Tuesday, October 21. Spanaway Lake will attempt to improve on its 0-11 season record. The Wolves go into the outing with a 7-5 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Yelm (Yelm, WA).
