The Cox Mill Chargers football squad scored 29 points and limited the visiting West Cabarrus Wolverines to 26 in the Chargers non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Chargers now hold a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host A.L. Brown for a non-league test on Thursday, October 23. Cox Mill will meet a Wonders team coming off a 41-13 non-league win over Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC). The Wonders record now stands at 5-3.
The Wolverines (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Vikings go into the non-league challenge with a 5-3 record. In their last challenge, Central Cabarrus nipped Berry (Charlotte, NC), 14-12, in a non-league challenge.
