Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Pine Forest Trojans (Fayetteville, NC), 42-6 in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Patriots play the Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, October 23. Pinecrest will attempt to improve on its 8-0 season record. The Bucks enter the challenge with a 4-4 record after their 50-40 non-league loss to Richmond Senior (Rockingham, NC).

The Trojans (3-5) will now prepare for their test against Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC). The Buccaneers come into the non-league test with a 3-4 record. In their last test, Jack Britt triumphed over Overhills (Spring Lake, NC), 18-16, in a non-league test.
