North Carolina High School Football - Washington knocked off by SouthWest Edgecombe

October 16, 2025: Washington, NC 27889

In Thursday's non-league game, the SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC) football team overcame the host Washington Pam Pack (Washington, NC), by a tally of 22-14.

The Cougars now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host West Craven for a non-league outing on Thursday, October 23. SouthWest Edgecombe will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 24-6 non-league loss to North Johnston (Kenly, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 0-6.

With the defeat, Washington drops to 2-2 on the campaign. The Pam pack travel to Eastern Wayne (Goldsboro, NC) to battle the Warriors in a non-league contest on Thursday, October 23. The Warriors enter the contest with a record of 4-3. Eastern Wayne won 40-0 in their recent non-league contest against North Pitt (Bethel, NC)
