The Hutchinson Salthawks edged the visiting McPherson Bullpups soccer team by a tally of 2-1 in Thursday's non-league game.
Next, the Salthawks face the South Cougars (Salina, KS) in a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division I game, on Tuesday, October 21. Hutchinson will attempt to advance on its 6-6 season record. The Cougars enter the game with a 10-5 record after their 4-0 non-league win over Buhler (Buhler, KS).
The Bullpups (7-6) will now prepare for their game against Andover Central (Andover, KS). The Jaguars enter the non-league game with a 7-6 record. In their last game, Andover Central was nudged by Southeast (Wichita, KS), 5-0, in a non-league challenge.
