Plainfield Cardinals (Plainfield, NJ) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they observed their soccer squad nudge the visiting Union Farmers (Union, NJ), 3-2 in a non-league outing.

The Cardinals (9-2) will now prepare for their outing against Scotch Plains-Fanwood (Scotch Plains, NJ). The Raiders come into the non-league test with a 9-2 record. In their last test, Scotch Plains-Fanwood was tipped by Montclair (Montclair, NJ), 3-2, in a non-league test.

The Farmers now have a 6-9 record. They play next when they host Livingston for a non-league bout on Monday, October 20.
