Ida B. Wells Guardians (Portland, OR) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Benson Tech Astros (Portland, OR), 3-0 in a league test.

The Guardians (8-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Beaverton (Beaverton, OR). The Beavers come into the non-league challenge with a 7-13 record. In their last challenge, Beaverton was beaten by Jesuit (Portland, OR), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Astros meet the Jefferson Democrats (Portland, OR) in a 6A Portland Interscholastic challenge, on Tuesday, October 21. Benson Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 1-18 season record. The Democrats come into the challenge with a 1-19 record after their 3-0 league loss to Cleveland (Portland, OR).
