The Sparta Spartans volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Thornapple Kellogg Trojans to 0 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Spartans now have a 13-8 record. They play next when they host Greenville for a River Cities Alliance game on Saturday, October 18. Sparta will face a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Lowell (Lowell, MI). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 15-12.

The Trojans (10-13) will now prepare for their game against Wyoming (Wyoming, MI). The Wolves go into the non-league game with a 5-11 record. In their last game, Wyoming gained a win over Union (Grand Rapids, MI), 3-0, in a non-league game.
