The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Johnston Panthers (Johnston, RI) and the host East Providence Townies (East Providence, RI), saw Johnston's volleyball squad beat East Providence by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Johnston upgrades its record to 4-4 on the year. The Panthers host Pilgrim (Warwick, RI) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 20. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 5-4. Pilgrim won 2-1 in their recent non-league bout against St. Raphael Academy (Pawtucket, RI)

The Townies now own a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Burrillville for a non-league bout on Wednesday, October 19.
