Flippin Bobcats (Flippin, AR) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Bay Yellowjackets (Bay, AR), 55-54 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Flippin upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Bobcats host Riverside (Lake City, AR) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 19. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 1-0. Riverside won 66-33 in their recent non-league bout against Ridgefield Christian (Jonesboro, AR)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the East Poinsett County Warriors (Lepanto, AR) in a 2A Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Bay will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
