In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Hickory Hawks volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Lakeland Cavaliers.
The Hawks (12-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA). The Tigers come into the Southeastern challenge with a 1-16 record. In their last challenge, Oscar Smith was beaten by Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA), 3-1, in a league challenge.
Next, the Cavaliers meet the King's Fork Bulldogs (Suffolk, VA) in a Southeastern contest, on Tuesday, October 22. Lakeland will attempt to move on its 5-13 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 9-11 record after their 3-2 league loss to Deep Creek (Chesapeake, VA).
