Louisiana High School Football - Berchmans Academy trounced by Catholic of Pointe Coupee

October 17, 2024: New Roads, LA 70760

Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Berchmans Academy Saints (Grand Coteau, LA), 53-7 in a league battle.

With the win, Catholic of Pointe Coupee advances its record to 7-0 on the season. The Hornets host St. Edmund (Eunice, LA) to encounter the Fighting Blue Jays in a 1A District 5 battle on Thursday, October 24. The Fighting Blue Jays go into the battle with a record of 7-0. St. Edmund won 58-7 in their recent league battle against Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA)

The Saints now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they host Westminster Academy for a 1A District 5 battle on Friday, October 25.
