The Newman Greenies walloped the visiting Cohen Green Hornets football team by a score of 49-0 in Thursday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Greenies play the Reed Olympians (New Orleans, LA) in a 2A District 10 challenge, on Friday, October 25. Newman will attempt to improve on its 5-0 season record. The Olympians go into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 12-7 league win over Metairie Park Country Day (Metairie, LA).
The Green Hornets (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against King Charter (New Orleans, LA). The Jaguar go into the 2A District 10 match with a 1-5 record. In their last match, King Charter was routed by South Plaquemines (Buras, LA), 43-8, in a non-league match.
