The Jayton Jaybirds football squad scored 54 points and limited the host Rule Bobcats to 0 in the Jaybirds league triumph on Friday.
The Jaybirds now sport a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they host Lueders-Avoca for a 1A 6 Man 2 Region II District 8 (6 Man) test on Thursday, October 24. Jayton will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 56-0 league loss to Aspermont (Aspermont, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 0-6.
With the defeat, Rule drops to 3-5 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Paint Creek (Haskell, TX) to clash with the Pirates in a 1A 6 Man 2 Region II District 8 (6 Man) test on Friday, October 25.
