The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Las Animas Trojans (Las Animas, CO) and the visiting Rocky Ford Meloneers (Rocky Ford, CO), witnessed Las Animas's football squad wallop Rocky Ford by a tally of 54-16.

The Trojans (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Swink (Swink, CO). The Lions enter the A-8 Arkansas Valley (8 Man) contest with a 0-6 record.

Coming up next, the Meloneers battle the Holly Wildcats (Holly, CO) in a A-8 Arkansas Valley (8 Man) contest, on Friday, October 25. Rocky Ford will attempt to better on its 2-5 season record. The Wildcats enter the contest with a 3-4 record after their 64-18 league loss to McClave (McClave, CO).
