The Aspen Skiers soccer squad scored 3 points and held the visiting Vail Mountain Gore Rangers to 0 in the Skiers league victory on Thursday.

The Skiers now hold a 4-7 record. They play next when they host Basalt for a 3A Western Slope bout on Saturday, October 19. Aspen will play a Longhorns squad coming off a 5-0 league loss to Steamboat Springs (Steamboat Springs, CO). The Longhorns record now stands at 4-8.

With the loss, Vail Mountain moves to 4-5 on the year. The Gore rangers host Rifle (Rifle, CO) to play the Bears in a 3A Western Slope bout on Friday, October 18. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Rifle won 5-0 in their recent league bout against Delta (Delta, CO)
