Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Bishop O'Connell Knights (Arlington, VA) and the visiting Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons (Olney, MD), saw Bishop O'Connell's soccer squad hold off Our Lady of Good Counsel by a count of 2-1.

The Knights (12-3) will now prepare for their battle against Paul VI (Chantilly, VA). The Panthers enter the battle with a 1-8 record. In their last battle, Paul VI was edged by St. John's (Washington, DC), 3-2, in a league battle.

Next up, the Falcons confront the Archbishop Carroll Lions (Washington, DC) in a Washington Catholic (WCAC) battle, on Tuesday, October 22. Our Lady of Good Counsel will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Lions enter the battle with a 3-11 record after their 4-1 league loss to St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD).
