Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Olathe South Falcons (Olathe, KS) and the host Blue Valley North Mustangs (Overland Park, KS), saw Olathe South's soccer squad hold off Blue Valley North by a count of 3-2.

The Falcons (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against Olathe North (Olathe, KS). The Eagles enter the Sunflower battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Olathe North was edged by Lawrence Free State (Lawrence, KS), 3-2, in a league battle.

Next up, the Mustangs battle the Pembroke Hill Raiders (Kansas City, MO) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, October 17. Blue Valley North will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Raiders enter the battle with a 7-5 record after their 3-1 non-league win over St. Michael the Archangel (Lee's Summit, MO).
