The Leavitt Hornets held off the visiting Lake Region Lakers soccer team by a tally of 3-2 in Thursday's league game.
Next, the Hornets face the Lincoln Academy Eagles (Newcastle, ME) in a Class B - South game, on Saturday, October 19. Leavitt will attempt to advance on its 4-7 season record. The Eagles come into the game with a 6-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Cony (Augusta, ME).
The Lakers (6-10) will now prepare for their game against Traip (Kittery, ME). The Rangers come into the non-league game with a 9-4 record. In their last game, Traip edged North Yarmouth Academy (Yarmouth, ME), 2-1, in a league game.
