Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Carroll Tigers (Carroll, IA) and the host Boone Toreadors (Boone, IA), observed Carroll's volleyball team top Boone by a tally of 3-0.

The Tigers (17-16) will now prepare for their contest against Denison-Schleswig (Denison, IA). The Monarchs enter the non-league contest with a 13-15 record. In their last contest, Denison-Schleswig was beaten by Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, IA), 3-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Toreadors meet the West Central Valley Wildcats (Stuart, IA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, October 19. Boone will attempt to better on its 6-20 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 5-12 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Madrid (Madrid, IA).
