In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting Madison Southern Eagles volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Mercer County Titans.

The Eagles (11-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Model (Richmond, KY). The Patriots enter the District 44 challenge with a 6-7 record. In their last challenge, Model was tipped by Lexington Christian (Lexington, KY), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Titans meet the Burgin Bulldogs (Burgin, KY) in a District 46 challenge, on Tuesday, October 22. Mercer County will attempt to upgrade on its 12-9 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 1-10 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Frankfort Christian Academy (Frankfort, KY).
