In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host Marist Spartans volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Sheldon Irish.
The Spartans (14-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Marshfield (Coos Bay, OR). The Pirates come into the 4A Sky Em challenge with a 18-2 record.
Next, the Irish meet the Summit Storm (Bend, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 19. Sheldon will attempt to upgrade on its 14-12 season record. The Storm come into the challenge with a 11-7 record after their 3-2 league win over Mountain View (Bend, OR).
