Virginia High School Football - Heritage wallops Amherst County

October 17, 2025: Amherst, VA 24521

The Heritage Pioneers football squad scored 49 points and limited the host Amherst County Lancers to 14 in the Pioneers league triumph on Friday.

The Pioneers now sport a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Liberty for a Seminole outing on Friday, October 24. Heritage will clash with a Minutemen squad coming off a 52-8 league loss to Brookville (Lynchburg, VA). The Minutemen record now stands at 2-5.

With the defeat, Amherst County falls to 2-5 on the year. The Lancers travel to Glass (Lynchburg, VA) to battle the Hilltoppers in a Seminole game on Friday, October 24. The Hilltoppers enter the game with a record of 2-5. Glass lost 56-0 in their recent league game against Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA)
