The Valley Tigers football team (West Des Moines, IA), dropped 34-26 in Friday's non-league bout with the host Ankeny Hawks (Ankeny, IA)

The Hawks (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Lincoln (Council Bluffs, IA). The Lynx enter the 5A Group 3 contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Lincoln was outscored by Sioux City East (Sioux City, IA), 48-7, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Tigers battle the Lincoln Railsplitters (Des Moines, IA) in a 5A Group 4 contest, on Friday, October 24. Valley will attempt to better on its 6-2 season record.
